Privacy

Badbike collects experiences of e-bikes, e-scooters and other motorised traffic that put pedestrians at risk, to make the hidden numbers visible. This page explains what we store, and why.

Data controller

Badbike is run by Finn Ove Lium as a private individual. Questions about privacy can be sent to finnove@me.com.

What we store

We do not store names, email addresses or IP addresses with the report, and you need no account. Do not write names, licence plates or anything else that could identify you or others.

Temporary data

Purpose and legal basis

The purpose is to make dangerous situations for pedestrians visible. Reports are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Your location is stored only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by pressing the button.

Publishing

Reports are read before they are published. Reports containing personal data are not published. Published reports are shown with text, place and date, and the numbers are used in statistics.

Cloudflare Turnstile

To stop bots we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile processes information about your browser and device when you send a report. Read more in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Storage

The data is stored on a server at Hetzner Online GmbH. Reports are kept for as long as badbike is in operation.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correction and deletion. Because reports are not linked to you, we can only find your report if you describe it. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
